Dyeing a carpet?
Hello. Recently purchased a new house and I'm looking to make some cosmetic changes. I want to save what money we have on any major stuff like electrical or plumbing.
I'm intending to change the look of what's going to be my bedroom into something more dark themed but it has a light blue carpet which is not going to work for me. Unfortunately it only has subflooring underneath. So I'm thinking I can try and dye it to Black and I want to use a method I've read about involving rit synthetic dye, a carpet rake, and some kind of weed sprayer to apply it.
Has anyone attempted this and if so what was your experience and what tips can you give me to make the process work?
