Carrie is a 1976 American supernatural, horror film directed by Brian De Palma from a screenplay written by Lawrence D. Cohen , adapted from Stephen King 's 1974 epistolary novel of the same name . The film stars Sissy Spacek as Carrie White , a shy teenage girl who is mocked and bullied at school. She later develops the power of telekinesis and wreaks vengeance on her tormentors. It is the first film in the Carrie franchise .
Just as you think there is a peaceful ending to the shocking and tragic story of a lack of humanity, the unexpected twist made me jump off my seat and my heart miss a few beats 😱😬😱😬. Recommended 💯
