#earn activity “Twice is too much.” You might be wondering: “ Wait, isn’t ‘once is enough’ the rule? ” Yes! Once is enough to know something’s wrong. But sometimes, we give people one chance to fix it. One chance to apologize. One chance to change. One chance to show us they care. But when it happens again? Twice is too much. Here’s what that means: One mistake = you can forgive and teach Two mistakes = they’re showing you their pattern One hurt = you can heal together Two hurts = they’re not trying to change One boundary crossed = you can remind them Two boundaries crossed = they don’t respect you This doesn’t mean you’re harsh . It means you’re wise . You’re learning to see patterns , not just single moments. You’re protecting yourself from repeated pain . Psychologists call this “behavioral repetition.” When someone does something twice, it shows: It’s not an accident. They’re not trying to change. They accept the consequences. You don’t need to wait for a third time. Twice is enough to know who they are. This activity is for: -People who forgave once and are wondering if they should forgive again -People who see the same pattern repeating in their relationships -People who are learning to spot patterns, not just mistakes -People who want to protect themselves from repeated pain -Everyone who’s ready to say: “Twice is too much.” TASK: Copy and answer 1. Have you ever given someone a second chance? What happened after? 2. What’s ONE thing you’ll NEVER give a second chance for even if they apologize? Explain. 3. What’s ONE thing you MIGHT give a second chance for (if they truly try)? Why? 4. Write ONE sentence: “ I’m learning that second chances are ….” ATTACHMENT: Second chance ticket - On a piece of paper, draw a rectangle ( lines should be broken/dashed — like a ticket ) - Inside the shape , write this: Second Chance Ticket ( center, title ) Name:

Thank you all for participating in the #TwiceIsTooMuch activity! Your willingness to reflect on your experiences and share your insights is a powerful step towards understanding your boundaries and protecting your emotional well-being. As we wrap up this session, remember that recognizing patterns in behavior is a sign of strength and wisdom. It’s not about being unforgiving; it’s about valuing yourself and knowing when to step back. Each of you has taken an important step in asserting what you will and won’t accept in your relationships. Rewards have been sent to eligible entries. I capped at 11 entries but I received 11 submissions so I will include it, the same rules applied. Unfortunately, out of the 11 reviewed submissions, no one followed the rules perfectly so everyone incurred deductions for minor and major mistakes. If you'd like to understand the reasons behind your deductions and where you went wrong, I encourage you to compare your entries with my guidelines. I won't be addressing each mistake individually at this time, as the same issues tend to recur. Deductions stemmed from the following: 1. Tasks not copied completely or rephrased; rephrased other’s entry 2. TOO MANY TO MENTION ATTACHMENT MISTAKES ; any difference in attachment incurred deductions ATTACHMENT: Second chance ticket - On a piece of paper, draw a rectangle ( lines should be broken/dashed — like a ticket ) - Inside the shape , write this: Second Chance Ticket ( center, title ) Name:
