I think i used Expired paint
Morning all,
Bit of advice needed please. I have had a garden office built, all new electrics and plastered out inside. The plastered said to seal the plaster first with a 50/50 emulsion mix but i found some ready made plaster primer which i put on fine.
I had some Matt Emulsion wall paint left over from my last decorating venture but this needed a good mix as it had just seperated while being stored. The top part was just water, so i gave it a good mix with a drill mixer and it appeared to be fine....smelt fine (foreshadowing!)
So i started cutting in the corners when i had a thought..."Maybe i should just go get some new paint inc ase i run out......nah i'll be fine" Painted the ceiling and 3 walls and left to dry for a few hours and then came back to check it......I can only describe what smells like manky fish tank water fills the room. Did i use off paint and there is no hope for me?
My decorator mate said it will be fine to just put some new fresh paint over the top to cover it up, but i didnt want to do that and make more work for myself if it didnt help. He is coming on the weekend to take a look at how bad it is.
Did i mess up badly or is it savagable?
