What’s a DIY mistake that made you stop and go, “what did I just do?”
I spent weeks building and mounting a custom floating cabinet, measuring everything repeatedly, checking level from every angle, taking my time to get it as precise as possible. I was at the final step, tightening one last screw to secure it, when I heard a deep crack…. The side panel split almost the entire length. Not a small surface crack you can fill or paint over, it actually separated enough that the piece is basically ruined. I’m realizing now I never pre-drilled that last hole. I must’ve skipped it at the very end without thinking. Just stood there like you’ve got to be kidding me… Please tell me I’m not the only one lol
