My grandpa has been battling a heavy weight door while bringing in groceries. I want to craft a door stop with a telescopic pole so he doesn’t have to bend down as he’s a fall risk, but it’s gotta be portable.
I’ve looked online and none of them have worked as they fall apart quickly.
My idea is to purchase a 3 ft telescopic pole and attach it to a regular rubber door stop. Most of them have the threads on the end for regular household cleaning tools (mop head, broom, duster). How should I create the hole with the right thread for that to just twist into? Or should I just drill a hole and jam it in, add some glue?
