“Shang-Chi a FLOP??? that doesn’t make sense at all or am I missing something?
I genuinely don’t understand how Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings didn’t perform as well as expected.
It had some of the best visuals Marvel has done in a while, especially the Ta Lo scenes and the final battle. The fight choreography also felt fresh, not just the usual CGI-heavy action but actually well-designed martial arts.
Even the characters stood out. Shang-Chi felt relatable, Wenwu was a strong villain with actual depth, and the whole story felt a bit different from the typical Marvel formula.
Still, it never got the same level of hype or long-term attention as other MCU movies, which is surprising to me.
Was it because of timing (COVID release), weaker marketing, or just that it wasn’t connected enough to the main Avengers storyline?
