Bailing on first trip?
Writing this at 2am in my tent unable to get a wink of sleep despite all my efforts. This is my first camping trip and I thought I did everything right but I’m in Florida and it’s just so hot and humid. I’m a local so I figured the heat would be fine, and I’ve camped up north in the winter, so I had camped in some extreme temps before. I also bought a fan for the tent thinking that would help, and it did! Until it died and now won’t recharge :(
Insult to injury, it started to rain and despite having a tarp under the tent, water has still somehow gotten through. U-U
I have the site reserved for 4 days, I’ve been excited for it as a birthday trip. But I’m not sure if I can make it through. Can anyone out there give me some reassurance or advice on whether or not to stick it out or go home?
