#HeartOverHurt g/confessions g/studio 1. When someone…

#HeartOverHurt

1. When someone wrongs me deeply (betrayal, lying, cheating), my gut reaction is usually to forgive, but slowly. Not instantly. First I feel hurt and distance myself, but over time I try to release the anger so it doesn’t keep affecting my peace. Forgetting doesn’t really happen on command.

2. A time someone hurt me, I didn’t fully forget it, but I did forgive them. The situation didn’t go back to how it was before, but the anger reduced. It helped me heal more than holding on to it would have, because carrying it felt heavier than the actual event.

3. One thing I feel I should forgive but can’t forget is when someone close breaks trust after I believed in them completely. Even if I forgive them, the memory stays as a lesson, and I become more careful. It doesn’t control me, but it doesn’t disappear either.

4. One thing I feel I should forget but can’t forgive is repeated disrespect from someone who knew exactly what they were doing. Even if I try to move on mentally, the feeling of unfairness stays because it was not a mistake it was a choice.
