Daredevil BA's main problem? They can't write characters like Netflix

So Daredevil BA S2 has been a vast improvement over S1. But the consensus is that it's still short of Netflix's quality. The main problem? The characters.

Specifically: **they've failed to introduce** ***any*** **new compelling ones, 2 seasons in.**

With the Netflix series, it's incredible how many amazing characters they've developed to inhabit the world: the Punisher, Bullseye, Elektra, Claire, Kingpin, the list goes on and on. You could make a spin-off with any of them.

DBA's characters feel sadly one dimensional: Heather, Muse, BB, Daniel, Kirsten, White Tigers. When they're on screen, you want to fast forward and get back to ogs -- because you actually care for them.

Netflix took the time to explore the psyche: Matt's struggle with catholic guilt, Dexter's slow descent to become Bullseye, Frank's moral code. "Show, don't tell" as they say. With DBA, they simply tell you that Bullseye is "good" now. And it happened off-screen.

Tl;dr: DBA can't keep riding the coattails of Netflix's legacy characters. They need to learn how to create new compelling ones.
