Movie ; the REVENANT
In the harsh, untamed wilderness of 1820s America, frontiersman Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) joins a fur-trading expedition. During a scouting trip, he is brutally mauled by a grizzly bear, leaving him near death. His team, believing he won’t survive, leaves him behind—with John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy) taking it further by murdering Glass’s half-Pawnee son and abandoning Glass in a shallow grave.
Defying all odds, Glass survives his wounds, crawls through the snowy forest, fends off wild animals, and endures freezing rivers, starvation, and pain—all while haunted by visions of his lost family. Driven by grief and the desire for justice, he makes an epic, months-long journey through the wilderness to confront Fitzgerald.
The film builds toward a final confrontation that raises the question: Is survival enough, or does revenge truly heal?
