Trying to make a Temperature controlled pantry cupboard
# Why/Where
I live in a tropical country, but I used to live in the UK. There are many things related to the kitchen and cooking that require 'room temperature' (the most obvious one is butter, but it comes up a lot with different recipes (especially fermenting)). The temperature here is over 30° during most of the year, and then in winter it actual drops below 'rooom temperature' so I want to fix them. (You can google a list of things that should be stored at 'roooom temperature' fruits, veggies, bread even)
# What
I want to make a temperature controlled cupboard (it's not a fridge XD ) large enough for bread, butter, some potatoes, bananas and jars of things. (the exact size doesn't matter) the temperature, should be regulated at 20° (the lower end of 'rooooom temperature').
# Who
I can build a box, I can assemble basic electronics with a screwdriver, I don't currently have a soldering iron, but I'm not against getting one, perhaps I'll use it more than my hammer.
# When
Not in rush
# Things I've researches already
I have seen some videos of people making DIY fridges, and from what I've seen of mini fridges, the regulation of the temperature is not very good. I have in fact already bough a mini fridge which has since broken, it didn't even have a place to set the temperature, defying the purpose essentially.
# How can you help
If you have creativity, what else could I try?
If you have knowledge, how can I get started?
If you think I'm in the wrong place, please lead me to a place that might be better for this type of thing.
