I need to clear my 1/3 acre lot. Chainsaw myself or hire a forestry mulcher?
The lot has gone to the wild for 20-25 years and has lots of trees probably 6in or less thick.
I'm just going to put up a fence and park stuff on it. I can take everything down with the chainsaw and burn it, but I have seen what a forestry mulcher does where it's just flat and a nice mulch surface and I'm thinking twice.
If I can get the stumps down to flat with the chainsaw it seems fine to me as it's just a lot, but I want to get advice from some people who have experience clearing thick 2nd growth land.
Added photo for reference.
Also, can't I just put a come along on a big tree and wench out the small trees?
