#ChangingReligionForLove g/confessions g/studio 1. What…

#ChangingReligionForLove

1. What role does religion or faith play in your life right now?
Religion/faith in my life is something that gives me guidance and moral direction. It helps me understand what is right and wrong and also gives me peace during difficult situations. Even if I am not extremely strict, I still respect my beliefs and try to follow basic values like kindness, honesty, and respect for others.

2. If the person you love deeply belongs to a different religion or has no religion, how do you think that would feel?
It would feel like a mix of curiosity and emotional challenge. On one side, I would be curious to understand their beliefs and way of thinking. On the other side, I might feel unsure because differences in faith can sometimes affect lifestyle, traditions, and future planning.
I might feel curious but also slightly confused at first.
Questions like β€œWill our values match long-term?” or β€œHow will families react?” could come to mind.

3. If that person asked you to change or leave your religion for love, what would go through your mind?
I would feel emotionally pressured and confused. Love is important, but so is personal belief and identity.
I might feel hurt if I’m asked to completely change something so personal.
I would think deeply about whether love should require giving up my core beliefs.
It would be easier to consider flexibility in practice rather than fully changing my faith.

4. What boundaries do you have around your beliefs or values in a relationship?
I believe some things should remain respected and not forced to change.
I wouldn’t compromise on my core beliefs and respect for my religion.
Important life decisions like how children are raised or major traditions would need mutual understanding.
However, I can be flexible in understanding and respecting my partner’s practices and celebrating differences peacefully.

5. If you ever had to adjust your religious practice or tradition for love, what would that look like for you?
It would mean finding balance rather than changing identity.
I might adjust in terms of participating respectfully in my partner’s traditions or agreeing to differences without conflict.
I would still keep my personal faith practices but remain open-minded.
What I would need most is respect, understanding, and no pressure from my partnerβ€”just acceptance of who I am.

β€œMy faith, my heart, and my boundaries are all connected. I’m learning where I can bend and where I need to stay firm. My faith, my heart, and my boundaries are all connected.”
