Thru-hiking - complete beginner - advice
Hi everyone. I'm mostly a car camper and hiker, and always with my family (I'm 38, I'm the mom). I am seriously considering attempting thru-hiking. I'm in decent shape and I really love tinkering with gear and routes and maps. The only thing is - I'm afraid of going alone and my family are very resistant to the idea of me going potentially off-grid by myself (valid concern!). What are some reliable resources or ways to find thru-hiking partners? My friend group is out of the question, if there's no hotels and beds, they're not interested.
