FORGIVE (with firm boundaries)
Infidelity is painful, and I will never pretend that it is something small or easy to move past. I have seen how betrayal can break someone’s confidence and make them question their worth. For me, forgiveness is possible, but only if the truth is fully revealed and there is genuine remorse. I believe people can make mistakes, especially in moments of weakness, but repeated betrayal is no longer a mistake, it is a choice. If my partner is willing to take full accountability, cut all contact with the third party, and commit to transparency, then I would consider rebuilding. Counseling and open communication would be non-negotiable because trust cannot heal in silence.
However, my absolute line is if the cheating is ongoing, involves lies even after being caught, or if they leave me for the other person and try to come back when it fails. Public humiliation or disrespect toward my family is also something I would never tolerate. Forgiveness to me does not mean forgetting or accepting less than I deserve. It means giving one chance for redemption, but never sacrificing my self-respect. I value loyalty deeply because love without trust feels unsafe and unstable. At the end of the day, I would forgive once for a genuine mistake, but I will always choose my peace if the betrayal happens again.

You’ve managed to find the razor-thin line between radical grace and radical self-protection, which is a difficult balance to maintain when emotions are high.
I respect your view in regards with this but for me it is only a Yes or No.
No second chance.
Nice entry sis☺️🌻✨

“I respect that. Everyone’s boundaries are different, and a no-second-chance rule is completely valid.”... thank you sister im glad you liked my entry🥰🙏
