Sometimes the simple tool watches are the most satisfying
Lately I’ve been realizing that not every watch needs to be flashy or complicated to be interesting. Sometimes the ones that stick with you are the simple, well-designed tool watches.
The Oris Big Crown ProPilot Date is a good example of that for me. It doesn’t scream for attention, but the details make it feel purposeful. The coin-edge bezel, the large crown, and those big Arabic numerals give it a proper aviation vibe without feeling overdesigned.
What I really like is how balanced the dial looks. Everything feels clean and legible, which is exactly what you’d want from a pilot-style watch. It feels like something you could wear every day without getting bored of it.
Also, there’s something refreshing about Oris sticking to straightforward mechanical watches without trying to chase trends. #luxury
