#OwnYourTimeline g/confessions g/studio 1. If you had to…

#OwnYourTimeline

1. If you had to pick a number, what age do you think is “right” (or “right for you”) to get married or become a parent? Why?

For me, the right age to get married would be around 26-28 years old. I feel this age gives enough time to complete education, build a career, and develop emotional maturity. I would prefer becoming a parent a few years later when I can provide stability, guidance, and support for my children.

2. If you think there can be a “right age,” what makes that age feel “right” to you?

A "right age" is not just about numbers. It feels right when a person is emotionally prepared, responsible, and capable of handling the challenges that come with marriage and parenthood. Readiness matters more than age itself.

3. Do you think being financially or emotionally stable is a MUST before marriage/parenthood, or can it grow along the way? Explain briefly.

I believe emotional stability is very important before marriage and parenthood because relationships need patience, understanding, and commitment. Financial stability should also be considered, but it can continue to improve over time as long as there is responsibility and a willingness to grow together.

4. Whether you’re already married/already a parent or not yet, can you imagine getting married or becoming a parent earlier or later than your “right age,” or even again in the future? Explain briefly.

Yes, life does not always follow a perfect timeline. I can imagine getting married a little earlier or later depending on circumstances, opportunities, and personal growth. What matters most is being ready for the responsibility rather than meeting a specific age target.

5. If someone younger than you wanted to get married or be a parent, what would you personally tell them to think about first?

I would tell them to think carefully about responsibility, emotional maturity, communication skills, and long-term goals. Marriage and parenthood are lifelong commitments, so they should make sure they are prepared for both the challenges and rewards before making such important decisions.
