a week of Chattanooga police and fire scanner calls, by hour of day
Every call our transcription picked up over seven days across the Chattanooga metro, bucketed by hour and colored by category. Source is public Broadcastify scanner audio run through Whisper, then geocoded, so it's machine-transcribed and unverified. Rendered with d3.
The overnight dip and the afternoon wreck spike are about what you'd expect. The medical calls being flat across the day surprised me.
