Let go one by one to the questions of the activity,
Role of religion/faith in your life? Right now, Islam is a core part of my identity. It shapes my morals, decisions, and how I see purpose, discipline, and relationships in life. It’s not just belief , it’s a way of living.
Loving someone with a different or no religion? I think I would feel curious but also challenged. I would want to understand their perspective, but I would also be aware of the differences it could bring. My main questions would be, ✔️How would we handle major life decisions? ✔️What values would guide our future, especially family life? ✔️Would there be mutual respect, or hidden pressure over time?
If they asked me to leave my religion? That would be a clear boundary for me. I would feel hurt and pressured, because faith isn’t something I can trade for love. What would go through my mind is, If they truly love me, why would they ask me to give up something so essential to who I am? It wouldn’t be something I would consider, because my faith comes first.
Boundaries in a relationship Non-negotiables for me because My belief in Islam and Practicing my faith (prayer, values, lifestyle), Raising children with Islamic values. I can be flexible in areas like, ✔️Cultural differences ✔️Personal habits that don’t conflict with my beliefs ✔️Learning about each other’s traditions respectfully
Adjusting religious practice for love I wouldn’t change my core practices, but I could adapt in respectful ways like being open to conversations, understanding their background, or peacefully “agreeing to disagree.” To feel safe and respected, I would need, ✔️No pressure to change my beliefs. ✔️Genuine respect for my faith. ✔️Open, honest communication.
I am glad by your question. It doesn’t sound tormented , it sounds honest. Faith gives direction, but hearts still feel deeply. Sometimes the hardest part is choosing what’s right even when it hurts.
