📖 Synopsis: During World War II, Lt. Gen. Leslie Groves Jr. appoints physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer to work on the top-secret Manhattan Project. Oppenheimer and a team of scientists spend years developing and designing the atomic bomb. Their work comes to fruition on July 16, 1945, as they witness the world's first nuclear explosion, forever changing the course of history.
📝 Review: "Oppenheimer" was an amazing film! Despite its nearly three-hour runtime, I was impressed by how the film maintained a fast pace. It never felt like it slowed down, keeping the intensity high throughout. In a unique way, it felt like the ticking of a time bomb, always building toward something bigger. Ludwig Göransson's soundtrack was impeccable, perfectly complementing the film and playing a major role in maintaining its quick pace. I can't think of another film where the soundtrack was so integral to the overall experience.
The performances from all the actors and actresses were outstanding, with Cillian Murphy delivering an Oscar-worthy performance. The film captivated me with its deep exploration of Oppenheimer's psyche. Murphy brought incredible emotional intensity to each scene through his facial expressions and body language. I truly empathized with his moments of conflict as he navigated the complexities of war and politics, grappling with the consequences of his actions.
