Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Hi guys, I'm using HP Omen 14 Transcend laptop and the palm rest area has some white spots that i am unable to remove, it is a little rough but still overall not too rough to the touch. From what i read, this laptop is shadow black sandblasted anodized. I used to clean with 99% isopropyl alcohol occasionally but am unsure if that was the cause of this patch as other areas of my laptop are fine. Ever since the white patch appeared, ive just used water to wipe down my laptop.
Ive researched abit on items like using mineral oils to cover the patch or something called birchwood casey aluminium black could potentially help but i have no idea if any of those would work and what the root cause of this white patch even is. Any thoughts on how to fix it as close to original as possible? Im not looking to use a vinyl to cover it up as i prefer the texture of the aluminium itself. Just looking to see if there's anything to cover and make the white patches less obvious as its been bothering me :( Any help or advise would be appreciated! Thank you!
