Why is there such a discourse between what happened to Maxwell Lord in the comics and the Justice League? Wonder Woman spoilers ahead.
Look, I get it. Wonder Woman killed him and Batman/Superman were disgusted but she wrapped the Lasso of Truth around him. He told the absolute truth as he was forced to. So instead of letting the most powerful being on the planet fall under the control of a monster, she snapped his neck. And I just do not understand. Superman would have killed her before she could defeat him under the belief she was Doomsday. So the fact that she did it is was one of the most necessary deaths in comics.
