Cars 20th Anniversary
The biographical documentary *Cars* races to theatres across the United Interstates of America to mark the 20^(th) vanniversary of its premiere. Automobiles neutral on the racecar Lightning McQueen should steer left on this victory lap of his career. The assembly team behind *Cars* had hoped to capture the hotshot’s success originating from a weeklong pitstop in Radiator Springs, igniting a car-ltural shift to imagine a slower, preindustrial society. De-accelerate in the comfort of your garage as *Cars* mirrors a different route in life, absent of advances in artificial intelli-engine that overtake our car-gnitive car-pabilities and rising oil emissions that trigger gas hysteria. While automobiles idolize the physical feats of race cars like Lightning McQueen, this is a reminder that the speed of the world doesn’t automatically determine the speed of their lives. Don’t spoil the destination, as the greater lesson of *Cars* is why it’s sometimes best to cruise in the slow lane.
