Why do you stand by it?
From my personal experience with my sister-in-law, I’ve seen that even genuine praise can be misunderstood. When I compliment her, she sometimes feels I’m jealous. So when she asks how something looks on her, I avoid giving an opinion andsay I don’t really understand fashion.
How do you defend it?
Honesty only works when the other person is ready to accept it positively. I believe protecting peace and relationships matters more than proving honesty. Silence, in such cases, is emotional maturity — not weakness.
