Marking knife from cut flooring nails?
I found a box of these at restore, and don’t respect I’ll have a ton of use for them in my woodworking practice — but I wonder if they have any potential as marking knives, cutting gauges, and other various edge applications.
Has anyone worked with these and/or sharpened them as-is?
I don’t have access to a forge or torch right now, but I can find one if need be. They’re hard enough to scratch my usual cut nails, but not my sledgehammer - and my file seems to cut ok, but \*slowly\* . I appreciate any guidance - as well as your patience with my ignorance.
