How far the NYC subway actually takes you in 60 minutes

I'm the creator of subway.fyi http://subway.fyi , that uses historical data to forecast outages (sometimes 30 minutes ahead of the MTA), and allows replays of every incident in the system.

I keep hearing about the 15-minute city, and I wanted to see how far you could get in the city in 15, 30, or 60 minutes during a morning rush hour. This was the result!

1. Times Square.
2. Coney Island
3. Jamaica

Feedback welcome of course.

Tools: Python, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, TimescaleDB. Data: MTA GTFS-Realtime, captured myself. More data at subway.fyi .
