Copycat Crumbl Blue Shark Cookies 🦈
I just wanted to share how these copycat Crumbl cookies turned out that I made for my neighbors 6th birthday! When asked what type of cookie she wanted me to make for her, she very confidently requested “the blue shark cookies” to which her mom followed up with “she had them at Crumbl a few years ago, I can help find a recipe if you need 🤣”
An hour after that conversation & I could be seen feverishly trying to find a copycat recipe online! I came across a few contender’s but I’ve made enough recipes to know that the reviews of any recipe are \*worth your time\* every. single. time. This one had enough reviews that I decided to full send it!
I was a bit nervous with how the icing was going to come out (I ended up making the icing twice - in the early part of the recipe it calls for the butter to be melted for the icing, but then doesn’t specify that in the steps for it later on). So I made one batch with melted butter & it was definitely not the right call. Remade it with room temperature butter & was much more pleased with the results.
The recipe obviously calls for red food coloring for the icing, but I opted for blue in that step - plant based food coloring was used, in addition with the dye free blue shark gummies from Walmart. I also doubled the cookie & icing recipe.
