MCU and Food - Part 14
“I can't imagine why he came to an Asian fusion restaurant to order classic Italian pasta…”

Food Item: Gratinée Amatriciana from San Lou Pasta Bar
It took me several days of tracking and researching the local area to find something served with amatriciana sauce. But finally, I found a quaint, cozy place serving it. Even got a glass of red wine to go along with it.
Cost: RM45 or approx. US$11.35
Food Rating: 9/10
Bruh, I now understand why it’s a tad pricey and why it’s called fine dining. The sauce was savory and rich with tomatoes and chili. The pasta and pork or pancetta were quite exquisite together with the cheese toppings. It’s quite hilarious that I had to explain the waitress that this is for a personal project that I’m doing when I took the picture with Krysten Ritter’s big smile lol And it’s ironic that the place I’m dining is technically an Asian fusion restaurant too!

I love the noir aesthetic of the show along with the twists and turns of a detective thriller. All the characters are compelling and messed up in one way or another. The show does not shy away from its heavy themes, which makes New York City a much more gritty but real and authentic place for a story like this. My nitpick is that the show can be very slow in terms of pacing, but I understand that’s by design. It was also a trip seeing Krysten Ritter from over a decade ago and now; she's got a daughter with Luke in the current canon. Ohh, how time moves by…
Standout Performance: David Tennant as Kilgrave
Speaking of messed up because OH. MY. GOD! This guy is terrifying! This actual hellspawn has to be the most evil villain of the entire MCU. Whenever David is on screen, I feel ill and uncomfortable. This goes to show that the actor has done a masterful job. To portray a man who can have anyone do his bidding without a care in the world while being smug about it has to be one of the highlights of David Tennant’s career.
Sidenote: I forgot that Nuke was in this show! Also, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth being a cold-hearted bitch was on par with Cersei, and Erin Moriarty was in this too!! ALSO, the same actress who’s playing Detective Kim is here!! Damn I forgot a ton of who were in these.
