What's the Status on Eternals? Could They Return? Is It a One and Done?
I recently rewatched the film and forgot how much of a shocking great time it is. Chloé Zhao made a gripping family drama spanning across time and space that was on the scale of both a shakespearian drama and science-fiction epic... and pulled it off! The casting and performances here are also some of the most underrated in the MCU (Chan, Jolie, Nanjiani, Ridloff & Tyree Henry are my personal highlights) and the costume design also deserves major kudos. I know upon its original release it was met with lukewarm reception and made a modest box office (I think releasing it a month before *No Way Home* was a real shot in the foot) but that hasn't stoped elements of a Marvel Studios production to continue one way or another. I know the chances of a full fledge sequel feature film are slim but I'd be over the moon for it to see this story continue in a dedicated 2hr adventure. Recently in the comics we saw the team cross paths with the Avengers and X-Men for the Judgement Day event so perhaps we could see it as the next big ensemble event? Thanks for letting me ramble :)
