Adding IR blaster to help ALS patient with remote control bidet
I’m an ALS patient with a remote controlled bidet that helps me immensely with cleaning myself and staying independent. The issue is that my hands and arms are getting so bad that using the remote is getting extremely difficult. The bidet is a BB-2000 and it has a IR remote with the receiver being behind your right butt cheeck when you’re seated.
I’m thinking about getting one of these- https://www.amazon.com/Broadlink-RM4-Universal-Control-Compatible/dp/B07ZSF46BX/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1
My thought is that I can plug this in and mount it behind the toilet, and then use my iPad Pro based eye gaze device with the Broadlink app to control the bidet with my eyes instead of my hands. And hopefully I can use my iPhone as well once ios18 comes out, as it is supposed to be able to use eye control.
Does this sound feasible? Anything I’m missing? Or is there a better way?
