Wanting to add a first story laundry room exhaust fan. Looking for advice on framing
I have a 150sqft laundry room on the first floor that needs an exhaust vent. I could easily punch a hole in the and use a through the wall vent but ceiling mount seems better.
The electrical will be easy and the duct will run parallel to the joists. My concern is the exterior wall. Will there be blocking or a header board between the first and second floor and if so, is there any issue doing a 6.25" hole? My joists are \~12".
