Could the MCU become the first movie franchise with 2 $2 Billion movies in one calendar year?
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day obliterating the record for the most views for a trailer in 24 hours, with 718 Million views, along with a great year of Marvel for 2026 leading up to Doomsday. This could be a historic year with 2 movies in the same franchise grossing $2 Billion Dollars.
To Support this further, both movies have pretty much no competition for basically months after their releases. Avengers Doomsday will possibly have a hard time combatting with Dune 3, however I feel Dune 3 will just be relegated to those IMAX screens for those 3 weeks and may not get many screening after those 3 weeks.
