Solo Mesa stove

I just bought a little Solo stove Mesa for 3$ at a yard sale. I have a bigger one, but, hey, for 3$ I did an impulse buy. Now I am wondering if you can cook anything on it besides s'mores? Does anyone here have one? How do you like it? Does it help keep mosquitos away?
