Prologue Beauty and the Beast: tell me more about the music :)

I’ve been listening to the Prologue from Beauty and the Beast (1991) again, which I really loved as a child and still love. I’m really fascinated by how it creates that mysterious and magical feeling. It’s my favorite piece of music from that movie, or maybe from any movie :')
I know some basic music theory, but I would love to understand more about what is actually happening in the music. How is it made? Why does it work so well? What gives it that specific sound and atmosphere?
I’m especially interested in the little motif that is introduced in the Prologue. I recently realized that it comes back lots of times throughout the movie.
I’d also love to know more about the harmony, melody, rhythm and orchestration. Are there any interesting chords or harmonic things going on? What instruments are doing the most important things? And how does the music change when the story becomes more dramatic?
Basically, I would love to know all the little details that you notice when you really listen to this piece. I love this music so so much!
Let me know your fun facts, observations or analyses if you want! :)
