1. What do you personally believe happens after we die?
I believe there is an afterlife. I feel that when we die, we don’t just disappear, we transition into another form of existence where the soul continues. I lean more toward a peaceful place, something like heaven, where we are reunited with love and light rather than fear.
2. How did you arrive at this belief?
This belief comes from a mix of faith, upbringing, and personal reflection. I’ve also been shaped by emotional experiences, especially losing loved ones, which made me feel like their presence didn’t truly vanish. Over time, my belief has become stronger and more comforting rather than uncertain.
3. How does your belief (or lack of belief) about the afterlife make you feel?
It actually brings me a lot of comfort. Thinking that life doesn’t just end, and that there’s something gentle and meaningful beyond this world, makes me feel more at peace. It removes a lot of fear and replaces it with hope.
4. How does your belief about the afterlife affect the way you live your life now?
It encourages me to live with more kindness and intention. I try to be a better person, not out of fear of judgment, but because I believe love, compassion, and the way we treat others carry forward. It also reminds me to appreciate life while I’m here.
5. If you had to comfort a friend who’s scared of death or the afterlife, what would you say based on your beliefs?
I would tell my friend that they’re not alone in feeling that way, and that it’s okay to be unsure. I’d gently remind them that if there is an afterlife, it’s not something meant to harm us, but something that holds peace and reunion. And if we don’t fully understand it, that’s okay too, what matters is that they are safe, loved, and not facing it alone 🤍
