Best DIY/budget reno ideas?
Long story short, a family member had a couple years long mental illness issue that led to them not really taking care of their home and it’s basically in disrepair. All the flooring needs to be replaced. They laid down LVP in some rooms but did not do it correctly so it’s all separated and needs to be redone. The kitchen cabinets need to be completely replaced and the bathroom needs to be gutted and redone. My husband and I gutted and redid our bathroom ourselves but I’m not sure how feasible that is at this persons house. All the hardwood needs to be refinished or covered, it hasn’t been cared for in years and has cat pee stains all over it. I considered replacing all the flooring in the house with sheet vinyl, since that’s guna be the cheapest and easiest to maintain long term.
I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to do this mostly DIY and as affordable as humanly possible.
