Advice Needed for camping at Rocky Mountain National Park
Hi there! My husband and I will be visiting from Texas, we will be there from Oct 9-13. We will be tent camping at the Moraine Park campground. This will be our first time visiting/camping in RMNP, and our first time really “winter” camping and camping in Bear country. So any tips/advice on gear we should bring, food storage (this has been stressing me out a bit lol—I know there’s a food locker there but if there’s anything more we need to do/bring please let me know!), and just general advice about the area.
We are also planning to do a couple of hikes, any recommendations for moderately fit/beginner hikers? I know the elevation can have an effect on us coming from Texas, so we are planning to take it easy the first day or two.
We are also wanting to go into Estes Park for a day, any recommendations on what to do/where to eat?
