Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment
1. Navigate to the C:\\\\Windows\\\\System32\\\\drivers\\\\CrowdStrike directory
2. Locate the file matching “C-00000291\\\*.sys” and delete it
3. Boot the host
Command to help fix: del "C:\\\\Windows\\\\System32\\\\drivers\\\\CrowdStrike\\\\C-00000291\\\*.sys"
\*\*A TEMP fix if you cannot boot into safe mode. <-\*\*
renaming the driver folder path is a workaround: Rename-Item "C:\\\\Windows\\\\System32\\\\drivers\\\\Crowdstrike" "Crowdstrike.bandaid"
