Robin Hood is feature animation trying to work with limited resources
Sometimes I think of how I heard somewhere that at the time WDFA made *Robin Hood*, there were only 70 people working on that film. It definitely felt like the dark times from the stories I’ve heard.
As a kid, I never really realized how often animated elements got reused in that film. It would take many years before I even realized they re-used poses and animation layouts from *Snow White* and *The Aristocats*.
However, I feel that film succeeds because they still brought the heart and the emotion to it. I think it just edges out *The Rescuers* as my favorite from the 70’s.
