Good morning #tanglers !
A reflective post today. 🤍 Looking back at this photo taken last Saturday, Nov 15th at 9:15 AM here in Aguçadoura. The sky was ominous, and "Claudia" was hitting us hard with 80km/h winds and flooding.
But while we struggled with the rain and consequent flooding here in the North, the devastation in the South was heartbreaking. A tornado in the Algarve area left a trail of destruction, many injured, and sadly, one life lost. A elderly couple drowned in their own home in Setubal area. Pylons bent by winds in Nisa, Porto Alegre district💔 My thoughts are with the families affected.
The storm has passed, but the impact remains.

Such devastating news… I can still recall being in shorts last December, hiking the Sete Vales trail, telling everyone how stunning the Algarve is in both winter and summer. My heart goes out...🥹💔

It is heartbreaking. 💔 You know the area well—it was actually the camping park and a hotel in Albufeira that took a direct hit. To think of such a beautiful place being torn up like that is devastating. Thank you for your kind words.
