Is there any reason these two people in BND are being shipped beyond just "they're a boy and girl and both pretty"?
I mean l don't really know what answer I'm looking for here beyond just venting about it but, is there really any moment throughout the whole movie where it feels like there's any hint of romantic chemistry at all between Peter and Jean?
First of all and as an aside, l don't really think I've ever seen Sadie Sink have romantic chemistry with anybody really, and l watched that Taylor Swift thing. She just doesn't really have a flirty vibe, she comes across way more as someone who'd love to be friends with everybody.
And similar thing with Tom Holland where he and Zendaya have some damn good chemistry together where you can just tell that they actually like each other. But I've never even seen that dude look sideways at someone else outside of the movies he's been in let alone in them. I literally often forget that MJ wasn't Vulture's daughter in the first one because all l remember are the little moments between them in that.
So, like, idk it just seems weird that I'm seeing more and more people trying to shove those two together like it would make any sense and that's just on an actor level.
Then you gotta actually look at the movie. In what world would Peter develop feelings for the person who did what she did with MJ. Yes he forgive her, trust her, save her, consider her his friend and ally but why would he ever want to kiss her just because he helped her not want to be evil. And why would she want to kiss him just because he shared a memory of his aunt with her. Like is that really as much as it takes for some people now? Are we really just at "he was nice to her" as the reason why a girl would suddenly like a dude?
Idk I'm sure I'll delete this in like 20 minutes because what's even my point but you 50,000 strangers are the only people l text about this right now.
