Last summer, I went on a solo trip to the beautiful Hunza Valley in northern Pakistan. While hiking towards Passu Cones, I met a group of tourists resting at a viewpoint. One of them looked oddly familiar. As we started talking, we realized we were classmates in primary school but lost contact after 6th grade! Neither of us knew the other loved traveling or had plans to visit Hunza. We ended up spending the next few days exploring Attabad Lake, Khunjerab Pass, and Karimabad together. What are the chances of running into someone from your childhood on top of a mountain? That trip became more memorable because of that unexpected reunion. Coincidences like this remind me that sometimes, nature isn't the only surprise waiting for you on a journey.
