#WorldAidsDay

sponsored by

December 1st was first declared World AIDS Day in 1988, in the spirit of the fight against AIDS.

Today, an estimated 40.8 million people worldwide are living with HIV, and the virus killed around 630,000 people last year. The continent most affected is Africa, where more than two-thirds of all cases occur.

In order to take joint action, it is important to know the state of the epidemic and the potential for development in the areas of prevention, treatment and care worldwide.

There are many misconceptions and prejudices about HIV, but thanks to modern treatments, people infected with HIV who are diagnosed in time can live full lives and be productive members of society, and they should not be discriminated against.

With this red candle, I would like to pay tribute to the memory of those who have died from the disease, to show solidarity with them, and to support those who are currently living with an incurable disease and fighting against it every day.

Red is the color of love, energy, strength, and courage.

The good news, I read that maybe by 2030 they will find a cure for the disease. So don't give up hope, believe, trust, and fight!

God bless you!
