What happened to crime dramas/neo-noir?
I just watched Gone Baby Gone (2007) and was reminded how great movies like that used to come out seemingly all the time. The last one I can think of was Sicario (2015). The Batman (2022) scratched some itches but there was just too much going on. I'm sure I'm missing some but it's weird how there aren't more. Feels like studios don't give a shit about great R-rated mature movies anymore.
