Movies that use vernacular very specific to the movie theme or era it takes place in
I just watched Rounders yesterday and while I don't know the first thing about poker I was very impressed with how far they went in using Poker lingo. Literally every line seemed to refer to some concept I wasn't aware and in a way it was enthralling being submerged for a short time in a different universe where people communicate differently.
Are there other movies that take great care replicating speech patterns, jargon or specific ways of talking to represent a subject or even a specific era? Mostly interested in English speaking movies since it's hard to gauge in other languages obviously.
Only two other productions that come to mind is the Wire (non movie but very close to Baltimore culture from what I've heard) and Zero Dark Thirty comes to mind but I haven't watched that so may be totally off base.
