This week’s collage holds three very ordinary moments — yet to me, they are everything.
I often go through to my daughter in the Northern Suburbs when her husband is away or caught up in meetings. And every time I go, I’m reminded how grateful I am to step into this role — not because I have to, but because I get to.
The swimming lesson photo reminds me of the privilege of witnessing my granddaughters grow — cheering them on, watching their confidence build, and knowing they are supported and safe.
And then there’s Mario…the king 👑 of the couches, standing proudly in the fire pit as if he owns the place 😄 I’m grateful for the laughter he brings — and for being there to keep him from carrying household treasures outside and hiding them somewhere mysterious.
The haircut may seem simple, but it represents taking a quiet moment to reset. In between cooking meals, receiving the daily packages, school runs, activities and keeping the home flowing — I’m reminded that self-care matters too.
These are the behind-the-scenes moments of motherhood and grandmotherhood. Cooking. Fetching. Waiting. Supporting. Watching. Protecting.
You are so lucky..being a mother and a grandmother at the same time..enjoying every meaningful moment in life, enjoying self-care and supporting them..always being grateful is the most beautiful thing in this life, healthy and happy...best wishes for you.
