I think the Sinister Protocols could be an interesting way to solve the age issue with Magneto and Charles
I often hear complaints as to how the mcu are going to handle the ages of these two. Mainly magneto and his WW2 history, then the issue is if you put him on ice or something then what about Charles and their history? They’re supposed to be peers.
There’s an X-men legacy arc that I think could be used to do this and pretty straight forward as well. For those unfamiliar, it’s revealed Sinister had written his DNA into different potential vessels, one of these vessels was Charles Xavier. Long story short the time has come and sinister tries to possess Charles and as Destiny puts it “A powerful annoying bald psychic thrashes him while quoting German philosophy”
I think this could be used as a simple explanation to keep both of them that old. Have magneto be one of the potential vessels as well, they don’t even know why they’ve lived this long, but to later be revealed Sinisters DNA has been keeping them healthy and stalled their aging to keep them viable hosts. It makes sense as sinister has access to both of them as children between the camps and the clinic Charles is sent to as a child. Clean, doesn’t feel forced, means they’re out there to be building a brotherhood or school not trapped in an ice cube.
