YSK When comparing prices, look at the price per unit not just the total price
Two products can look like one is cheaper simply because the total price is lower, even when you’re actually paying more for the amount you get.
For example, a 200g pack of coffee may seem cheaper than a 500g pack, but the larger pack can actually cost less per 100g.
Many stores show the unit price in small text on the shelf label. If they don’t, divide the total price by the quantity.
Why YSK:
Checking the unit price makes it easier to compare different package sizes and spot when a bigger or sale option isn’t actually the better deal. #education
