Here’s the piece after it came out of the round blank. I used the WeCreat Lumos Ultra for both the cutout and the surface detail. The alignment held between passes, but I still ran the frame again before cutting because there wasn’t much room for error around that eyelet. The relief is pretty subtle in the wider shot, but there’s a lot packed into a very small shape once it’s in your hand.
For anyone doing relief and cutout work on the same blank, are you keeping it in one MOPA setup or engraving first and cutting the shape another way? #industry
